This past week we had the honor of teaming up with the Addis Blankets of Love Foundation to grant a Dyin 2 Live Dreams holiday experience for a group of families to see the Newport Harbor Christmas Boat Parade and none of this would have been possible without the generosity of our friends at Cali Marine MasterCraft.
As one of the fathers shared that night, “sometimes the smallest thought or action can make the largest impact”.
When we reached out to our friend and General Manager, Brian Hamblin, and team, at Cali Marine to ask if they could help and bring out a boat to grant this wish for these warrior families, without hesitation they said yes. They even brought a second boat to allow more families to attend! We can’t thank them enough for making this experience a reality for over 30 people to put their fight with cancer on pause or to fill the emptiness for those that have lost their child to cancer and create beautiful new memories and meet new friends out on the water. This is what the spirit of Christmas is all about and the heartbeat of the cancer community… to come together and uplift one another through the hard times and pain of their battles.
It was a beautiful evening spent giving and receiving gifts from both foundations. Ice skating, pizza party, and of course, being on the Mastercraft and Barletta boats to see the magnificent Christmas boat parade in the Newport Harbor!
We are so grateful our paths crossed with Staci & Chris Conley from the Addis Blankets of Love Foundation and that we we are able to put this experience together. We know that together we will make more dreams happen for these wonderful families and their warriors.
